Handmade porcelain vases, unglazed with green glazed fragments

Fragments is an installation of seventy individually unique vases commissioned for the entrance to The Night Market Taiwanese restaurant’s 6^th floor in Hong Kong. Each piece was handmade at latitude’s Hong Kong studio from fragments of broken molds taken from traditional Chinese vase forms. Drawing inspiration from details of the markets of Taiwan, the vases highlight the beauty found in the way worn objects are being reused in unexpected manners. The resulting pieces complete the warm and intimate décor of the restaurant’s 6^th floor with a touch of delicacy and poetry.
